the way the light catches the dust in the afternoon,
or the sound of the kettle hum,
a low song for a quiet room.
I hope it stays,
this sudden weight of being here,
a heavy anchor in the softest tide,
holding me close to all I hold dear.
The rhythm of breath,
the pulse of a word,
the secret language
that goes unheard.
I hope it never leaves me,
this ache of wonder,
this silent thunder.
